I Shouldn’t Be Surprised That I’m Limping

Last night, I was s’posed
To jog five minutes, walk three,
Jog eight, walk three, jog

Five. Instead: I jogged
Eight, walked three, jogged five, walked three,
Jogged eight. Whoops. Also,

Walked there (twenty-five
Minutes uphill) and back (down).
No wonder legs hurt.

It’s that time of year
Again: -R- is hosting a-
Nother blog share
! Woo!

The only problem
Is that I can’t think of a
Secret y’all don’t know

Already. Maybe
I’ll make one up. This could get
Really interesting…

Drama Free

Had meeting today
At my ex-friend‘s company.
Was worried I’d run

Into her, but I
Didn’t (thank goodness). I hate
This all so damn much.

Even with BYOC and Oy Vey‘s Bastille Day Celebration

I have now lost a
Full three and 1/2 pounds. Woo!
That is amazing.

My New Life Plan

Have I told y’all how
I’ve decided my calling
In life is to write

A Young Adult book?
Here is my thinking: always
Wanted to write, and

YA books can be
Entertaining and don’t have
To be life-alter-

Ing. I know grown-up
Books don’t have to alter lives
Either, but most of

The entertaining
(And non-life-altering) books
For adults have sex

Scenes in them, and dude:
My parents would read that! NO
WAY. Embarrassing.

Pfft. PEOPLE would read it, and that’s enough for me.

Still, I suspect there’s a romance novel in me somewhere.

Choose Your Own Blogventure makes you eat? (Perhaps you mean BYOB.)

Also, the Roman Numeral for 51 is LI (http://www.novaroma.org/via_romana/numbers.html). But that’s OK. If you’re having fun with all the X’s, go for it. :-)

Why is this comment all about correcting you? How annoying am I today?? Man. On an entirely different note, I would totally buy your novel, whichever route you go.

Exciting! My mother is the same way, being embarrassed by stuff she writes. She has written a couple of novels, neither published (yet), and she’s really embarrassed about the “adult scenes,” which I’m sure when I read them I’ll find them extremely tame and refer her to Girl With a One Track Mind for some research homework prior to writing her next one! hahaha

  4. Kristabella says:

That last one is WHY I don’t know if I can write a novel. I can’t write chick lit because it is not chick lit without SEX.

  5. Erin says:

I love young adult books! I would definitely read yours!

  6. Laurel says:

I have a feeling you’d be great at writing YA fiction!

Congrats on the C25K success, you runner girl, you!

  7. Noelle says:

I had a last minute blogshare inspiration, I hope the same worked for you.

Also, I think you would be a good YA writer. There’s a lot of YA out there, and a lot of good YA, and I think you can add to the good YA and I like writing YA for some reason.
